The best way to be together in stadium again

When will this all end? We’d love to have an answer but the reality is quite different. This virus, which first appeared almost a year ago, continues to turn our lives upside down.

Of course, we missed playing football this season and we wish we would be preparing for playoffs in the hopes of winning a Grey Cup.

So today, in collaboration with our government, we simply want to remind you that the best way to get back to our normal lives and to see our Alouettes in action at the stadium again is to do everything in our power respect the regulations enforced.

Don’t forget to wear your mask, respect social distancing rules, wash your hands as often as possible, and download the free COVID Alert application on your smartphone. We will get through this.

The application uses Bluetooth signals to exchange random codes with nearby devices that also have the app installed. If someone you’ve been in close contact with receives a positive diagnosis of COVID-19, they will receive a single-use code provided by a healthcare professional that they can enter into the app.

You, and anyone else who has spent time (more than 15 minutes, within 2 meters of each other, in the last 14 days) in close proximity to this person, will then receive a notification via the app that informs you of your potential exposure to the virus and what to do about it. As personal information is not requested or used by the app, this process is anonymous.

It’s an easy, secure and effortless way to do your part to help others and prevent future outbreaks. Technology can help us; why not use it?
