After a fourth consecutive win, the Alouettes are set to face a Western powerhouse, the Saskatchewan Roughriders, for the first time this season. This Saturday, October 30th, our men will be at Percival Molson Stadium and you absolutely must be there too. Here’s why!
1. Birds flying high!
Skeptics were undoubtedly baffled when last Friday’s game, which was expected to be a tough challenge, was mastered with flying colours by our Alouettes. Reigning supreme in the eastern division, we will certainly not be giving up our place. Saturday’s duel promises to be quite physical. The Riders, who are in second place in the west, have the same 6-4 record as us, which suggests a tight duel ?
2. A legend will be among us.
After 230 games with the Alouettes, John Bowman hung up his cleats for good earlier this year and he is already sorely missed. This Saturday, we will take the time to remember John’s 14 great years as a pillar in the Alouettes defensive line. A man like him, who gave as much to the team as he did to the community, deserves to be told how much we appreciate him, again and again. Don’t wander too far during halftime if you want to be part of the beautiful tribute!
3. We love you to bits…
As part of the Fan Appreciation Game, the Alouettes would like to show how much we appreciate you by giving away gifts throughout the evening. Many gifts, including STM Transportation tickets, Alouettes footballs and gift cards will be given at different times during the game! What better way to measure our love than through the language of gifts!
4. Wait, what? More gifts!?
There’s more to come! The first 10,000 people to rush through the gates this Saturday will receive an Alouettes rally towel! Lucky are those who show up early!
5. Costume party at the Stadium!
It’s the perfect time to test the horrific potential of your costume before the big day and the one who really gives the creeps will win a pair of AirPods PRO (courtesy of Telus)… In addition, a half-time show will be prepared especially for the occasion!
