Montreal, April 22, 2022 – The Montreal Alouettes made the following statement regarding the passing of former Montreal Canadiens’ Guy Lafleur.
“The Montreal Alouettes organization is very saddened to have learned about the passing of Montreal Canadiens legend Guy Lafleur. He was a sports icon and an inspiration for all of Quebec. During the 70’s, he lead the way for Quebec professional sports teams who were reaping championships. He was a dominant figure on the sports scene, and beyond. He developed a strong sense of pride for everyone here. The Alouettes would like to offer their most heartfelt condolences to his family, his close ones, the Montreal Canadiens, as well as his former teammates.”
