Name
Anaïs
How many seasons with the Alouettes?
This is my first!
Where did you grow up?
In Saint-Basile-le-Grand
Since what age have you been dancing?
Since I was 3
What is your dance background?
I’ve trained mainly in Street-Jazz and Hip-Hop choreo/foundation since I joined Studio Innovadanse 8 years ago. I’ve taken part in several competitions and conventions that have helped me grow as a dancer.
Your profession / Field of study?
I’m a college student in health sciences.
Your biggest dance role model and why?
I’m very inspired by Sean Lew’s work. Not only is he a very versatile dancer, but I really admire his musicality. He has the gift of filling each piece of music in his own way and succeeding in conveying a message through it.
What do you do in your spare time?
I like to read, do outdoor activities and spend time with my friends.
Best advice you’ve received and from whom?
My parents always told me to believe in the unattainable, because you just have to put in the work to make it happen.
What motivated you to audition for the dance team?
My main motivation was my passion for dance. I’m always looking for new challenges, and being part of the Alouettes dance team will definitely push me out of my comfort zone. Also, my family and I have been following the Alouettes for a long time, and the atmosphere created by the Montreal fans is simply unique.
What are you most looking forward to this season?
I’m definitely looking forward to the opening game and creating lots of memorable moments with my teammates!
