Byron Archambault

Byron Archambault joined the Montreal Alouettes in February 2020 as a National Scout. He then transitioned to Director of Player Personnel in 2021. He also became a defensive assistant coach in September of 2021. In 2022, he was named the linebackers coach and special teams coordinator. In 2023, his special teams unit was a key reason why the Alouettes were able to win the Grey Cup.
Archambault was previously employed by the Université de Montreal Carabins from 2017 to 2019. He served as the Special Teams Coordinator and Linebackers Coach while current Alouettes General Manager Danny Maciocia was at the helm of the team.
The former linebacker was a second-round pick of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the 2015 CFL Draft. He spent two seasons with the Ticats. He also attended rookie mini-camp with the NFL’s New York Giants.
Archambault hoisted the Vanier Cup with the Carabins in 2014. He was also named defensive player of the year in Quebec and was voted an All-Canadian that same year.
